The Dartmouth Club of Maine held a "pow-wow" at the Cumberland Club in Portland on February 13. A social hour prior to the dinner was enjoyed by all. President William Poole '46 presided at the business meeting following the dinner, and Herbert Nolan '43, was elected Vice-President to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Bill to the presidency.
Thirty Dartmouth men (and one refugee from Colby College) saw the football movies of 1957 and had a wonderful time renewing acquaintances and meeting new friends.
It was announced by Rey Moulton that President Dickey would be with us for a spring meeting, and it was decided that we would make this an all-out affair and invite the wives.
Those in attendance were Bill Poole, Arthur Peabody, Reynolds E. Moulton, Herbert Nolan, Carrell Pierce, Dr. E. Allan McLean, Kenneth Russell, Frederick Armstrong, John Hill, Bob Haffenreffer, Bill Shapleigh, Lawrence Eastman, Bob Kendall, Steve Johnson, John Chapman, "Chuck" Burwell, Hoyt Marsden, Jim Woods, Bill French, Al Cleveland, Duncan Oliphant, Kilton Andrew Jr., Charlie Austin, Al Morrison, Bernard Lewis, David Lewis, George Brinley, Len Dunn, Dr. Thomas Foster, and Dr. Philip Thompson.
