How great was our good fortune in having our 55th reunion being in Hanover in the year we could share in the celebration of Dartmouth's 199 th commencement.

The college was never more beautiful; the arrangements for everyone's interest and pleasure more thoughtful, and for the Class of 1914 it seemed as though we could not have been more welcome or more beloved.

Of our 106 graduates and 44 non graduates now living it appears that our attendance included 37 couples, 13 men alone, five widows, one sister, and two sons.

The three-day program was over all too soon. The big picture will be related elsewhere. Our space permits only comment on our Memorial Service in Rollins Chapel conducted by Lize Wheelock and FredericFraser with Arthur Quimby as organist. Read were the names of 254 of our classmates who have gone before us.

Our class meeting was another highlight featuring class reports followed by the election of officers and executive committee for the next five years. Harold A. (Vogie) Stiles was the unanimous choice to succeed LayLittle as chairman, this on Lay's request due to the heavy duties laid upon him to assist agencies of our government in current Far East problems. All other officers and the executive committee were reelected.

No report would be complete without grateful mention of the cocktail party given by Kath and Mart Remsen and praise for Jim McFate as manager of the Hanover Inn and for his entire staff for their extraordinary service to 1914.

One final and unforgettable event was the lovely dinner and party arranged for us at the DOC house on Occom Pond.

1904 men and their families back for their 65th reunion.
