Playing in the rain (again), Dartmouth had little trouble downing an outmanned Columbia team, 22-0. The Big Green tallied early in the first period when Jack Kinderdine's 50-yard punt was fumbled by Columbia and center Ken DeHaven recovered on the Lion's 20-yard stripe. Four plays later Bill Gundy tossed eleven yards to Al Rozycki who fumbled it in the end zone but recovered for the tally. Gundy then tossed to Crouthamel for two points.

The drizzling rain and cold hampered both teams and the Indians did not score again until the fourth period. This time Columbia gambled on a fourth-down rushing play deep in their own territory, but couldn't make the first down. Dartmouth took over and in six plays moved to the Lion's three, with Crouthamel carrying over from there. Seven minutes later the Big Green got the ball on its own 43-yard line and moved 57 yards in nine plays for the final score. Gundy connected on three passes during the march, while Crouthamel and Rozycki clicked off consistent gains through the line and around end. The score came when Rozycki covered nine yards on an end run. Columbia never was able to get the ball inside Dartmouth's 20-yard line, and most of the time was playing in its own territory.
