PRESIDENT DICKEY last month announced appointments to the standing committees of the Dartmouth Board of Trustees, and also disclosed that the
line-up of seven committees - executive, alumni and public affairs, budget, buildings and grounds, educational affairs, investments, and planning - now conforms to the recommendation made by the Committee on Trustee Organization and subsequently approved by the Board.
The executive committee of the Trustees, which handles many Trustee matters between meetings of the full Board, is headed by Harvey P. Hood '18 and also includes Dudley W. Orr '29, vice-chairman, President Dickey, Lloyd D. Brace '25, and Dr. Ralph W. Hunter '31, with Beardsley Ruml '15 and Charles J. Zimmerman '23 as alternates.
The chairmen and vice-chairmen of the other committees are:
Alumni and Public Affairs - Charles J. Zimmerman '23, chairman; John L. Sullivan '21, vice-chairman.
Budget - Albert Bradley '15, chairman; Mr. Sullivan, vice-chairman.
Buildings and Grounds - Dudley W. Orr '29, chairman; Ralph W. Hunter '31, vice-chairman.
Educational Affairs—Orvil E. Dryfoos '34, chairman; Beardsley Ruml '15, vicechairman.
Investments - Lloyd D. Brace '25, chairman; Mr. Orr, vice-chairman.
Trustees Planning Committee - Harvey P. Hood '18, chairman.
Thomas B. Curtis '32 is the Board's representative on the Board of Overseers of Tuck School, and Dr. Hunter is its representative on the Board of Overseers of Thayer School.
