We are grateful to Ned Redman '06 for sending us a clipping that told that Jack Gunther's daughter, Nancy, has been elected to the Zeta of Massachusetts chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Smith College. She is a senior and history major, was on the dean's list for three years and was named a first group scholar for her work in her freshman and junior years. Sorry we didn't receive this in time to include it with the other data about Nan in the April issue.

Ellie Cavanagh was recently honored in being chosen to act as master of ceremonies at the dedication of the new Edwards Church in Northampton, Mass. Many notables were present at the dedication, including John Coolidge, a former member of the church and son of the late President Collidge. A highlight of the ceremonies was this message from President Eisenhower: "To the members and friends of the Edwards Church joined in the dedication of their house of worship, I send greetings. As the church of Calvin Coolidge and faithful congregations, this new building stands for an historic tradition. Dedicated to the service of God and neighbor, I know it will add strength to the lives of many. Congratulations and best wishes."

Jul Morris has been elected to the board of Pepsi-Cola Co. He is a partner in the law firm of Seligson, Morris and Neuberger in New York City.

We have recently heard that Frank Foster gave a most interesting and stimulating talk to a Pilgrim Fellowship group in the Boston area on the relationship of medicine to religion with specific relationship between teenagers and their parents. For those who aren't too aware of the passage of time, son Whitney is at Andover and daughter Robin is at Connecticut College for Women

As several previous items have indicated Bob Monahan is rapidly establishing an enviable record in the New Hampshire State Legislature. One of the ways in which he is doing this is illustrated in the following quote from the column "Under the State House Dome" by D. Frank O'Neil in the Manchester Union (N. H.): "Everytime his committee has a bill up for a vote, Bob moves right up to the microphone - without any urging - and explains in a concise manner just what it proposes to do. He does it in such a businesslike way that he rarely has to struggle through any long, confusing question-and-answer sessions over his committee bills. Good legislator."
