As this writing pre-dates your receipt of the October issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, there could be no replies to our identification inquiries as yet. We're hoping the mail, within the next two weeks, will bring the desired information and that the nagging question "Who Are They?" may be resolved in the next issue.

Met Hank Stein on the street the other day but there wasn't time to take down the item of news that will be interesting to all of you - so here is his letter:

"On August 1, Charlie Goldsmith was appointed managing director of MGM Pictures of England. Charlie, his wife Lee and two sons, Henry and Jimmy, flew from London to New York in August to vacation on Long Island. Fay and 1 spent a weekend with them and brought them up-to-date on our fabulous 25th Reunion. Needless to say, their life abroad is full of rich experiences. Shep Stone, who was at Reunion for a day, stopped in London and visited with the Goldsmiths! Here's hoping the Steins can make the trip some day soon."

We don't know, but we hope that Charlie and his family were able to get to Hanover during their vacation in this country. We have heard, though, that Shep Stone and his wife, George McKean and his wife, Bob Helmick and his wife and son, Supe Lockwood and his wife, Hal Beloin and his wife and daughters, and Bob Friend and his wife were at the Inn during the summer and early fall.

Word has been received that Jim and HessieHodson's daughter Julie became Mrs. Thomas A. Pankau on September 1 in Colorado Springs, with sister Betsy as her maid of honor. Julie and her husband are continuing their careers at Colorado College, where Tom is a senior and Julie is a sophomore. They are, respectively, members of Phi Delta Theta and Kappa Alpha Theta.

Another marriage of interest to his classmates is that of Irv Levitas in early September in Westwood, N. J., to Dr. Phoebe Hudson of Wilmington, Ohio. Irv, as many of you know, is associated with the Hackensack and Bergen Pines Hospitals and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His bride is an assistant physician at Babies Hospital, New York, and a member of the staffs of Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and the Hackensack Hospital.

Harry Martin, who is a member of his local Bedford, Mass., Board of Public Welfare and is a social worker for the neighboring Concord Board of Public Welfare, recently gave a highly interesting talk on social work which he entered after obtaining his Master's degree in social service from Boston University in 1951, which was subsequent, of course, to his previous training in psychiatry.

Art Clow of Short Hills, N. J., who has spent this past year as manufacturing division comptroller of the Western Electric Company, has recently been appointed personnel director of the company. Art has been with Western Electric since his graduation.

Secretary, 26 Wampatuck Rd., Dedham, Mass.

Treasurer, 1728 Beechwood Blvd., Pittsburgh 17, Pa.
