STEWART SANDERS '56, of Wellesley Hills, Mass., will take over next fall as Assistant to the Dean of the College, replacing Walter L. Clarkson '54 who is planning to continue his studies toward a Ph.D. at New York University. While at Dartmouth the new Assistant to the Dean was vice president of the DOC, president of Kappa Kappa Kappa fraternity, and a member of Casque and Gauntlet, Green Key, the Interfraternity Council, the Undergraduate Council, and the Dartmouth Ski Patrol. At present he is teaching high school in California.

The Henry D. Thrall Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to enable outstanding students from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana to attend Dartmouth. The fund honors Henry D. Thrall '06, who died last January, and was donated to the College by his friends and fellow alumni in the Minneapolis area.

The Edward A. Filene Research Fellowship, carrying an annual stipend of $6,000 for three years, has been established at Tuck School. Its purpose is to investigate applications of the behavioral sciences to marketing techniques in hopes of providing a better understanding of consumer behavior. Candidates for the fellowship are expected to have at least a Master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or in business administration.
