DURING the Commencement Weekend and ensuing Reunion Week, the College will be host at three luncheons at which President Dickey and prominent members of the Dartmouth alumni body will speak.
The traditional Commencement Luncheon will take place on Saturday, June 13, in Alumni Gymnasium. President Dickey will preside and other speakers will be Joseph W. Worthen '09, representing the Fifty Year Class; Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College; and an officer of the graduating class to be named this month.
Francis Brown '25, vice president of the General Alumni Association, will preside at the speaking program to follow an Alumni Luncheon in Thayer Hall on Tuesday, June 16. President Dickey and Mr. Hayward will address the alumni.
The second and larger Alumni Luncheon will take place in Alumni Gymnasium on Saturday, June 20. The presiding officer will be William C. Embry '34, president of the General Alumni Association. A special feature will be the presentation of the annual Alumni Awards by Clarence V. Opper '18, president of the Dartmouth Alumni Council. President Dickey and Mr. Hayward will again be speakers.
The Classes of 1889, 1894, 1899, 1904 and 1909 will be back for reunions over Commencement Weekend. The Classes of 1919, 1923, 1924 and '1925 return for the Monday through Wednesday period, June 15-17; and reunions during the rest of the week will be held by 1934, 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1949.
Hanover Holiday will be held during Reunion Week, with faculty lectures Monday through Saturday. An innovation will be two seminars, conducted by the Departments of Economics and English.
