Central Pennsylvania

On Sunday afternoon, August 28, the Dartmouth Club of Central Pennsylvania held its annual picnic. Fifty-five alumni and friends of Dartmouth gathered at Frank Davenport's lovely Westover Farms in Perry County, Pennsylvania, for a delightful afternoon of beer, food and companionship.

Joanne and Dick Kolbe '54 drove down from Schuylkill Haven to take the distance honors. Herb Bayer '38 and his family from Tyrone were relegated to the runner-up spot. Congratulations were in order for John Page '38, long a loyal and active member of the Club, who was recently honored by being elected to the Dartmouth Alumni Council for a three-year term.

The weatherman graced the Club with a hot, sunny day, so the pool was crowded most of the afternoon. Frank and Sue have opened their grounds to the Club for fifteen years. This year, as in the past, their gracious hospitality was appreciated by all.
