On Sunday afternoon September 10, the Dartmouth Club of Central Pennsylvania held its annual picnic. Fifty-five alumni and friends of Dartmouth gathered at FrankDavenport's '38 lovely Westover Farms in Perry County, Pa., for a delightful afternoon of beer, food, and companionship.

Herb Bayer '38 drove down from Tyrone to capture the distance honors and Con Wilbur '13 was the graduate longest out of the college. The Club was pleased to have five members of the class of 1965 present so that we could give them a warm send-off to their first year at Dartmouth.

The day was graced by perfect early fall weather. It was warm enough that the pool was crowded most of the afternoon and the cold beer was a popular item. The hosts served a delicious picnic supper. This year as in many years in the past the Davenports were most gracious hosts and their hospitality was appreciated by all.

Just before the picnic our club President Bill Conway '52 was transferred to New Orleans on one week's notice. It was a wonderful opportunity for Bill but we will miss his enthusiasm and good leadership.

The newly organized Dartmouth Club of Peru met at luncheon in September withDr. Luis Albert Sanchez (left), president of San Marcos University, to discuss apossible student-exchange plan. Others (l to r) are Pablo Lozano '59, Bob Neuburg'46, Hans Paschen '2BT, and Ed Parsons '53, executive secretary of the club.
