DARTMOUTH'S 1960 fall sports season is now complete except for the traditional finale with Princeton in football. The Big Green teams have done well over-all, and most of them finished strongly. Dartmouth's come-from-behind football team could wind up in second place in the Ivy League if it stops Princeton. The freshman football team went undefeated in six games for the first time since 1956, and the varsity soccer team rebounded strongly to compile a .500 average.
Most of the winter teams are already hard at work,-with basketball, hockey, swimming and squash starting their schedules this month. Look for another fast-moving, sharp-shooting basketball team, perhaps a little thinner in depth than recent squads. The hockey team may be hard pressed in its bid for an Ivy League title. There's some excellent material on the lines, but the defense and goal are presenting Coach Jeremiah with a real problem.
