The annual freshman reception, sponsored by our club was held at the Hotel Suburban in East Orange On May 8, 1960. Approximately sixty accepted applicants for the class of '64 with parents attended.
The program included'a welcome and congratulations to the applicants by President Bert Englert '42 and a film of the College. Tom Perry, freshman class president and resident of Union, N. J., gave a short talk, after which he answered questions from the prospective freshmen. Refreshments were then served.
Our last event for the '59 '60 year is set for June 4. This is the family picnic which will be held at Bill Blanchard's '30 in New Vernon, N. J. The hours are from noon to 6 P.M. Bring your own chow! Liquid refreshments plus charcoal fires will be provided by our association. After lunch, there will be Softball games, pony rides for the kids, and races for all. Entrance fee is your lunch.
