Essex and Morris Counties

An eventful 1962 is planned for local alumni and with it a busy time for Pete Bixby '51, Program Chairman, and TomSwartz '49, Membership and Attendant Chairman. Our Club's annual dinner is scheduled for February 7; on March 29 the Glee Club will perform in Montclair; and the date of the annual picnic is June 9.

Bob Blackmail will be the principal speaker at the annual dinner on February 7. Kickoff time is 7:15 P.M. at Rock Spring Country Club, West Orange, N. J. Also on the agenda is the election of officers for 1962-1963.

Montclair's Hillside School Auditorium will be the scene of the Dartmouth College Glee Club concert. This event, to be held Thursday evening, March 29, is for the benefit of our Club's scholarship fund. We are going to need the help of all local alumni to make the 29th a successfuly evening. Volunteers please call Al Zinggeler '32 (CA 6-5201), general chairman of the concert.

To date, the Executive Committee has appointed the following alumni to the Board of Governors: Roy LafEerty '15, Jules Rippel '23 Gus Wiedenmayer '29, Bill Blanchard '30! Al Zinggeler '32, Bill Carter '39, Bert Englert '42, and Jack Feldman '54. This being the first year the new constitution was applicable, nine vacancies existed. Hereafter three appointments shall be made annually, with each appointment for a term of three years. Non appointed members are Bill Hoffman '36, area alumni council representative, and Jim Elleman '43, area national enrollment committeeman.
