April showers will bring our bi-annual dinner dance. Co-chairmen Pete Bixby '51 and Tom Swartz '49 inform me the evening's program includes Warner Bentley, Director of Hopkins Center, who will present slides and give a brief talk on the Center's operation. Also, the annual election of of- ficers will take place. The "Affair" will be held at the Short Hills Club in Short Hills, N.J., on Saturday, April 27. Specifics as to cost, time, and entree will be covered in a Club mailing.
Our annual Freshman Reception will be held in April. This very successful affair is for local candidates accepted by the College. Thereby these candidates have an opportunity to get first-hand information on Dartmouth and ask any questions they may have prior to the deadline for their decision. A staff member of the Admissions Office, Jim Elleman '42, local NEC Chairman, and Andy Murtha '46, President, will preside at the meeting.
Not to be forgotten is our annual family picnic at Blanchard's in New Vernon. N.J. This event makes an enjoyable day for the family as Mom gets a day off, Dad can play Softball and for the children there are pony rides and games.
