Climaxing its highly successful 25th reunion, the Class of 1935 held its banquet Saturday evening, June 18, in Thayer Hall and on that gala occasion did itself proud by presenting to the College a 25-Year Class Gift of §300,300. President Dickey accepted the gift on behalf of the College and expressed official thanks for 1935's achievement.

In presenting the gift, 1935's fund co-chairmen, Ted Steele and Ted Harbaugh, reported that it was the second largest 25-year gift in the history of the College and that total giving by the class within 25 years of graduation amounted to $496,000, a new record for all Dartmouth classes. About go per cent of the class had shared in the latter figure.

"The Two Teds," as they came to be known during the class campaign, had led an effort to add to the class' participation in the Capital Gifts Campaign a sum sufficient to make the total reunion gift compare favorably with 1934's $281,000 and 1933's $307,000 as 25-year gifts.

At the 1935 class banquet the principal address was given by "Pudge" Neidlinger '23, former Dean of the College. The Class of 1935 was the first to graduate during his deanship.
