Central among our DAAW activities this past winter was enrollment work, carried out under the watchful and experienced eye of Bill Trump '46, National Enrollment Committeeman for the state of Wisconsin. Alumni all over Wisconsin got busy last fall exposing promising young men to Dartmouth. Movies were shown, calls made, a successful Undergraduate Christmas Luncheon held, and, later, interviews conducted. At last count, 76 young men had completed their applications to Dartmouth, some sixty per cent of these applications coming from outside Milwaukee County. That there were 39 such applications last year and only 30 the year before testifies to the ever-increasing activity of those forty or so alumni who make up Dartmouth-in-Wisconsin's enrollment team. The growing interest and enthusiasm of state alumni towards working in this vital area has contributed importantly to the increasing awareness on the part of Wisconsin boys of the advantages of a Dartmouth education.
One reminder is appropriate at this point, however. Acceptances will be mailed from Hanover on May 5, and enrollment work for winter 1960-61 is therefore not yet complete. At least one more contact with that promising candidate you know is very much in order. Remember he, in addition to Dartmouth, is making his decision now.
