Don't miss the mini-reunion in Hanover during the Yale weekend, which is the first weekend in October. We'll introduce you to four super members of the new class of 2004. Catherine Crandall is the daughter of the executive director of the New England Historic Genealogical Society; Steve Farrow of Eton is the grandson of our favorite Florida citrus grower; and alumnus Dr. Richard A. Pechter is sending us twin sons who have been winning national science awards.
President Charlie Collis has named a new bequest and gifts committee; Don McKinlay and Will Brown to serve as co-chairmen. Frank Robin served nobly in this post for many years. Our gratitude to all of them.
Nice note from Beth Levine, widow of our Herbert Levine. From 1949 to 1975 their shoes graced the feet of the most famous ladies in America, including Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich and several first ladies. A recent retrospective exhibition in Toronto honored their work.
Condolences to Joe DeMay on the death of his wife Joan. Recent figures show that the late Tom Nast was one of the eight most generous benefactors to the College from our class.
Your secretary will be summering again at the Kendal retirement home on Lyme Road, about a mile north of Baker Library. Will be there through October 8, our mini-reunion Sunday.
