At our weekly luncheon meeting on Thursday, June 28, at the Occidental Restaurant, election of officers was held: President, George E. Flather Jr., ’41; Vice Presidents, Frank S. High! ’36, WilmerB. Hill ’50, Merrill McLean ’42 and Richard A. Whiting ’44; Secretary, HarlowT. (Bob) Munson ’48; Treasurer, Peter F. Scott ’41. Executive Committee: Frank Carleton ’57, Frank J. Johnson ’51, Frederick R. Luedke ’59, Leon Loeb ’27, Dickson R. Loos ’46, Paul H. Mannes ’55, William B. Willard ’26.
In addition, the nominating committee, composed of Will Fitch T7, Clarence Op- per TB, Percy Russell ’29, and Barry Sulli- van ’36, was nominated in toto to serve on the Executive Committee. Strangely, this motion also carried unanimously.
Pete Burnside ’52 was our speaker of the day. Pete is currently pitching for the Wash- ington Senators. He made some interesting observations about the future of the cellar dwelling Nats.
