The summer season would certainly flit quickly by the DCP if it weren't for the social gatherings which are proving to be so popular with our members ... and more important, for the female "auxiliaries." The second "Summer Cocktail" was held on February 14 in the home of Anita and StanLambert '43. On hand were Peggy and HansPaschen '28T, Bob and Gladys Neuburg '46,Tita and Gordon McCoun '39, Ed Parsons'53, Pablo Lozano '59, and our secretary, Nancy del Carmen Smith.
Gordon McCoun '39 said that he had run into Rodman Rockefeller '54 the previous evening, proffering the invitation for the St. Valentine's Day reunion. Previous commitments prevented him from accepting, but he sent his best regards to all DCP stalwarts.
Chief topic of conversation during the evening revolved around the further development of the Hanover Look See project. Since responsibility is engendered by enthusiasm, it was decided that the most likely candidate for chairman of the Development Committee for this project was Gordon, and he was elected by acclamation. He and the Exec. Secretary will be drafting a letter explaining the idea to be sent to all the Lima high schools in April.
Although no official word from the College has been received, it looks as if a group of Dartmouth students will be spending part of their 1962. scholastic year in Peru. A recent visitor to Lima, Miss Patricia Roberts, student relocation coordinator for the Experiment in Living, advised the executive secretary that plans were being made to send a Dartmouth group to Peru sometime in July for approximately six months. The Experiment, a non-profit organization, arranges housing accommodations for students in foreign countries during their period of study.
