Eleven Dartmouth alumni participated in the eighteenth annual national convention of the Association of College Admissions Counselors in Chicago, October 10-13. Louis T. Benezet '36, President of Colorado College, was the speaker at the opening banquet. His topic was "College Admissions: The Hours Before the Dawn." Robert K. Hage '35, Dartmouth's Director of the Office of Financial Aid, represented the College officially, and' took part in a series of panels on financial aid.
Three former Dartmouth admissions officers attending the convention were F. Gardiner F. Bridge '42, director of admissions at Trinity College; Frank A. Logan '52, newly appointed director of admissions at Antioch College; and William H. Perry '55, college adviser at the Kent School.
Other participants were: Robert H. Mitchell '33, head of the guidance department at Newton (Mass.) High School; Otto Calder '35, administrative assistant in charge of guidance at new Rippowam High School in Stamford, Conn.; Donald C. Hagerman '35, headmaster of the Holderness School; Henry P. Welton '39, assistant headmaster at Morgan Park Academy; Roger Gilmore '54, assistant director of financial aid at the University of Chicago; and David B. Guthrie '54, admissions counselor at Milwaukee-Downer College.
