ROBERT W. MACMILLEN '40, who since 1958 has been associated with Dartmouth's Office of Development, has been named Assistant Dean of Summer Programs and also Assistant to the Registrar of the College. In his new post he will be in charge of all registrar's operations during the summer term and will handle the admission and registration of its men students. He also will work with Dean Waldo Chamberlin on the growing number of summer conferences and institutes held at Dartmouth each year. During the other terms he will assist Registrar Robin Robinson '24 in the general operations of that office.

Dartmouth will conduct a regular summer session for the first time this year and will admit both men and women students. Mrs. Margaret Ward will be in charge of admission and other activities for women students.

Mr. MacMillen has served as executive secretary of the Committee on Class Gifts since February 1962 and will no longer hold that position. He was associated with Pickands Mather & Co. in Cleveland for twelve years before joining Dartmouth's administrative staff in 1958. He was secretary of the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland in 1955-58 and was named Dartmouth's Club Secretary of the Year in 1957. He has served as secretary of the Class of 1940 since 1961.
