The Dartmouth Club of the Hanover Area will hold two functions this spring. The first is the annual dinner meeting to take place in Alumni Hall on Saturday evening, April 4. Dean of the College Thaddeus Seymour will be the principal speaker. Alumni and their wives are also invited to take part in various events during the day as the Hopkins Center spring program, "The World of William Shakespeare," will have just started. There will be an interesting film and a song recital before and after dinner.
Under the direction of President Roland W. Burbank '33, the Club will sponsor the first Dartmouth Day in Hanover on Saturday, May 16. Alumni and their families are encouraged to visit the campus and various programs appealing to a wide range of interests will be scheduled. There will be lectures, tours, sports events, films, a picnic in the Bema, exhibits, and a concert by the Dartmouth College Glee Club. It is hoped that Dartmouth day can become an annual springtime event open to Dartmouth families anywhere in New England. Registration for Dartmouth Day takes place in the Hopkins Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16. The only charge will be for tickets to the Glee Club Concert.
