Both of the Dartmouth crews have had their share of tough races this season. Thus far the lightweights have the only victory, a 2000-meter-course win over Rutgers, with the Indians posting a time of 6:11.8.

The lineup for the Green on that day was Tom Miller, cox; Todd Kaly, stroke; Ross Baylor, seven; Russ Newhall, six; John Harbaugh, five; Bryce Harbaugh, four; Bob Knight, three; Tony Hanslin, two; and John Arnold in the bow.

The lights concluded their season by qualifying for the finals of the Eastern Sprints and finishing fourth behind champion Cornell.

The heavyweight boat has been beaten by Brown, Syracuse, Boston University, Rutgers, Wisconsin, and M.I.T. In a three-way race, it was second, beating Boston University. The heavyweight boat finished second in its consolation round race in the Eastern Sprints. Only the IRA's remain on June 19-20.
