With Bob Zeiser '49 continuing to run the show, the Dartmouth Club of Providence had an active year. We are proud of the fact that last fall at the meeting of the club officers in Hanover Bob was elected Club President of the Year. During October there was a luncheon at which Carl Haffenreffer'30 described the problems of the brewing industry and gave some interesting facts but no samples. On December 26 we held the usual Undergraduate Luncheon with an excellent attendance. On January 21 a successful buffet was held at the Wayland Manor preceding the Brown-Dartmouth hockey game. In March another luncheon was held at which the speaker was Prof. Allen Foley '20. There was an especially large group in attendance for that event.
On April 15 the Club's fund raising event, a showing of the movie "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," made possible the addition of $450 for the Ruggles Fund. The Fund continues to grow satisfactorily as Chairman Taylor's report indicated.
Officers elected for the coming year are as follows: president, Charles V. Raymond'30; vice president, Raymond J. McMahonJr. '43; secretary, Franklin S. Eggleston '32; treasurer, Donald W. Barr '46; assistant secretary-treasurer, Stevan B. Little '55.
