More than fifty members and guests attended the annual undergraduate luncheon on December 29 at the University Club, Providence. Seventeen undergraduates, together with their fathers, were present.
Again this year no formal program was planned and the only speakers were undergraduates. Gillespie '54, White '55, Webb '56, and Pierce '57 each spoke briefly but in some detail on various aspects of undergraduate life at Hanover.
The speaker for the January luncheon was George Dixon, assistant secretary of the Business Development Company of Rhode Island. Mr. Dixon outlined the organization of the new company and its functions. The company was formed as a group to furnish risk capital for local concerns. Better than twenty members were present.
No luncheon was scheduled for February, due to the fact that the Glee Club was to be in Providence on the 26th for a joint concert with the Pembroke College Glee Club.
