The 56th reunion of 1909 was held in Hanover on June 14-16 with 16 classmates, 12 distaff members and 1 brother making up a congenial group. Eight states were represented as follows: Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. James andHortense Greenebaum from Illinois and Francis Bird from Ohio made the longest treks.

Head Agent Stanley W. Leighton and Toni McLoud deserve a salute for their fine job on the 1965 Alumni Fund drive. 70 classmates, 41 distaff members, 2 sons, 2 friends and 3 memorial funds made up the list of contributors.

Clifton Albert Snow died on June 13, 1965 in the New York Veterans Hospital as a result of a fall in his home on June 7. "Dutch" had been an invalid for the past 8 years.

Frank and Constance Austin of Hibernia, Fla., came north this summer for a vacation and contacted old friends and classmates.

Leon and Virginia Farley have sold their Cape Cod cottage homestead which has been in the family for generations as South Hyannis has become an urban area.

Robinson H. Mower reports that his doctor has limited his travel to the San Francisco area for reasons of health. His address is 2265 Virginia St., Berkeley, Calif. 94709.

Dr. Francis H. Bird returned to his Cincinnati home last month after a summer visit with his daughter and family in Orinda, Calif. He is planning for more travel this fall.

Dr. James Hitchcock was prevented from attending the June reunion by ill health but is improving. His address is now R.F.D. Greenville (Mason), N. H. Zip Code 03048.

Dr. Reginald H. Colley is another of 1909's travellers. After the reunion, he went to Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo., to present a paper entitled "Creosote as a Wood Preservative" before the Wood Pole Institute on June 28. At the banquet closing the technical sessions Reg was presented a framed Certificate of Achievement "in recognition of over 55 years of outstanding service to ensure the enduring use of wood in the utility industry." In April, he had presented three papers at a meeting of the American Wood-Preservers' Association held in St. Louis. All four papers have been published. 1909 salutes you, Reggie, and are proud that you continue to be so active.

October 22 will be the 60th "Night before the Harvard Game" for 1909 and Al Newton needs to hear from you that you will be present at the dinner he is arranging.

Mona Abbott attended the Alumni College at Hanover this summer while her mother visited Lillian Hooker at her Bradford, Vt., home.
