Two new men, one an alumnus, have joined the College administrative ranks. William B. Durant, a Harvard graduate in 1939, has been appointed to fill the new position of Executive Officer for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He will assist the faculty in its relations with various federal agencies, helping to prepare research proposals and serving as a clearing house for information on federal programs. He will also assist in budgetary and administrative matters within the Office of Dean of Faculty, now established in new quarters in Wentworth Hall.
William A. Russell '39 has been appointed a Special Assistant to the President in the Office of Development, succeeding Robert Y. Kimball '46, who was recently named Director of Admissions and Student Personnel at Tuck School. Russell was with Norton Company of Worcester, Mass., for many years before joining Miniature Precision Bearings, Inc., of Keene, N. H., in 1961 as vice president for marketing. In 1963 he entered the management consulting field. His son Donald is in the Class of 1968.
