Only a month and one-half to go before we meet again on the Hanover Plain. The months roll on and on so smoothly that it's terribly hard to realize that it was six months ago that I started off this column by offsetting the months, commencing with January and now there is only one-half of May and one-half of June left. It's just downright inconceivable - but like the saying goes - IT'S NOT A MYTH - IT'S YOUR THIRTY-FIFTH!

Bill Grant, Denver attorney and board chairman of station KOA-TV, won a de- cisive victory in his bid for the chairman- ship of the Demo- cratic Party in Colo- rado. According to the news clipping report- ing this feat. Bill noted that the state chair- man's job was a two- year office and that he intended to serve out his full term — and pledged that "he will not be a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1966, as has been ru- mored." Bill has long been active in Den- ver's civic, educational, and charitable en- terprises as well as in the Democratic Party political councils. His great-uncle, James B. Grant, was Colorado's first Democratic Governor; his grandfather, W. W. Grant, was Surgeon General of Colorado; and his father, W. W. Grant Jr. '03, drafted Colo- rado's civil service law.

Hats off again to Ori Hobbs for plowing for months through all the details that Reunion arrangements involved and still coming up with that great big smile that lights up his whole face and. personality so frequently. It's truly wonderful!

Ori's last bits of info before this column must be mailed to Hanover (April 10 - this month an extra 5 days' grace was extended in order to get as many facts in as possible) are -

1. George Nickum won the drawing out of the names of those whose "Registration Card and complete payment" were received on or before March 31, so he gets a refund of his Reunion Fee. This is another case of the early bird getting the worm. Congratulations, George!

2. Jim Rice and George will be coming all the way from the State of Washington.

3. Other long distance travelers will be - Jim Laughton - Hawaii; Frank Nichols Florida; John "Swede" Nelson — Colorado; Bill Minehan (and his 7 and 8 year olds) - Wisconsin; Johnny Martin - Michigan; SiLeach (and 2 children) - Canada (Si's son, Norman, graduates this class); Nels Greenlund - Kansas.

4. As of March 31 one-third of the total estimated "bodies" returning, or 85, had signed up. Not bad and encouraging to Ori and the rest of the committee.

"The deadline for the May issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE is April 10. This will be your last chance for publicity in the Class column. The June issue will be too late." So says the advisory from Hanover, which not only pinpoints the nearness of Reunion, but also shocked me into realizing that this column is the next to the last that I shall be submitting and that the June column will complete my five years as secretary and scribe of this column. Receiving news from some of you and digging up news about others of you and passing it along via this column has been mighty interesting and generally rewarding. I'm pleased to have been able to make this contribution to the Class and sincerely hope that you have enjoyed reading the material as much as I have enjoyed preparing it.

Even though there will be a June issue I feel that this is really my farewell column and will close by urging each and every one of you to do your utmost to join the gang at Hanover next month. Harriet and I are looking forward to being with you and having a wonderful Thirty-Fifth.

Don't forget! It's Not A Myth! and it's later than you think!
