Richard E. Jones, a senior from Rochester, N. Y., will deliver the valedictory address at Commencement on Sunday, June 13. He was chosen for the honor by the Committee on Commencement on the basis of his scholastic achievement, character, and leadership.
A chemistry major, Jones is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and has a 4.75 overall grade average on a 5.0scale. He holds an Honorary Alfred P. Sloan National Scholarship and has received faculty citations for his outstanding academic work in chemistry and physics. He plans to do graduate work in biochemistry next year at Stanford University.
