More than usual, writing this month's column is rather rushed. The reason follows a few items we've picked up from newspaper clippings in the past few weeks. So first, to those.

On Saturday December 11, Miss Barbara Anne Bertrand, of Larchmont, N. Y., became the bride of Brock Saxe. Brock received an MBA from Columbia University, and is now with the White Tower Management Corporation. He and his wife, a graduate of Trinity College, Washington, D. C., are now making their home in New Canaan, Conn.

Miss Mary Ann Risberg, of Haverford, Pa., and a graduate of Stanford University, was married to Karl Young on Thanksgiving Day this past November. Following their wedding trip to Mexico the couple set their roots down in Philadelphia.

Larry Peltola has been named commercial loan officer for the San Joaquin Mortgage Co. in Fresno, Calif., specializing in loans on business properties. Following graduation, Larry went with Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co., of Newark, N. J., as a loan supervisor. He and his wife, Stephanie, have two children.

The Erie, Pa., law firm of Quinn, Leemhuis, Plate and Buseck has announced the association of Edward P. Wittman with the firm in the practice of law. The new barrister was admitted to practice on November 4.

Lt. Tom Moorman recently was graduated from the Air University's Squadron Officer School, Maxwell AFB, Ala. Tom has since moved on to the coast, and is now stationed at Beale AFB, Calif.

Spotted at the 102nd annual banquet of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Boston were Betsy and Gary Speiss, John Blew, and Dick Hannah. Dick is finishing up at Harvard Med, and recently paid a visit to California where he visited with Kent andDi Morton and their young son, JC.

For many months I have failed to mention any of my own doings. Mostly, this was because I was never too sure from month to month just where I'd be. This month is, perhaps, the best time to get you caught up, as this is the last time I will be writing our class column, at least for a while.

In May my long-hoped-for LL.B. came through from the University of Michigan Law School, bringing to a close a very happy three years in Ann Arbor. Then, after the usual cram course, bar exam, and a long wait, I was sworn in as a member of the Massachusetts Bar in November.

For many months I worked to get a commission with the Air Force Judge Advocate General's Department, the lawyers in blue, so I could fulfill my military obligation in the way I was best prepared. This finally fell through in January, and by that time the draft board firmly had me in their grips. So, as you read this, I will already have begun basic training, probably at Ft. Dix, N. J.

As the demands of basic training are pretty great, I figured it would be impossible to continue writing this column. Art Hoover, 58 High Street, Somersworth, N. H., has kindly consented to pinch hit for me until I am able to resume the job, or until the new Executive Committee elects a replacement at the June reunion, whichever comes first. I hope you will keep Art buried in all kinds of news.

To each of you, my deep appreciation for these past four years. In spite of many problems, frustrations, and mistakes, I have tried to do my part in keeping open the lines of communication for a great class.

I sincerely hope that I will be able to join you in June at the reunion. If not, it will not be for lack of desire.
