A special committee under the chairmanship of John P. Amsden '20, Professor of Chemistry Emeritus, has been formed to study the present and foreseeable needs of the College for feeding and housing the student community.

In appointing the committee of administrative officers of the College, President Dickey said that "the size, character, and location of feeding and housing facilities must be determined in relation to many other considerations. These include Dartmouth's planned enrollment, educational objectives, the development of the associated school and graduate study programs, the social life of the campus, optimum use of land, and the economics of building and operating such facilities."

F. William Andres '29, chairman of the Trustees' Committee on Buildings and Grounds, will serve on the committee on an ex officio basis.
