Cliff England in Winchester, Mass., anxiously awaits the arrival of the U.S. Mail these days and your checks for the Thirtieth Reunion. The committee made it as easy as possible for you - just sign the check and send it off to Cliff in the stamped envelope provided. The tentative program for Monday, June 13, through Thursday, June 16, promises a wonderful vacation and reunion in Hanover. Hire a baby sitter, bring your mother-in-law in from Peoria, farm the kids out with friends, work around those graduation dates, but be there!

Some of our classmates were reliving the Hanover experience in February by returning for the Freshman Father-Son weekend. The register was signed by Bob Blades, PhilGilbert, Ed Higbee, Dick Morton, RussPage, Dave Putnam, Bob Prentice, AndySchmidt, Ken Wilson and George Young. Unfortunately Ed Higbee came down with some kind of bug and spent the time in the hospital. Reports are that it was a great experience for all the boys, young and not so young.

There are quite a few opportunities to return to Hanover this year. The Alumni College will be held this summer from August 14 through August 25 and registrations have already been made by some of our associates — Mr. and Mrs. Dick Allen, Mr. andMrs. Gil Balkam, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Fitzherbert, and Mr. and Mrs. Blake Hughes.

The association of town and gown was upheld recently in Reno, Nev., at the in stallation of Newton Edd Miller as the Chancellor of the Reno Campus of the University of Nevada. Dartmouth College was represented in the ceremonies by Courtney Catron. It was interesting to note that the colleges, universities, and learned so cieties represented were listed in the prol gram in order as to the year in which established. Dartmouth 1769 was preceded by Columbia University 1754 and followed by the University of Pittsburgh 1787.

These are certainly the years for engagements and the most recent ring event was announced by the Don Hotalings of Briarcliff Manor, N. Y. Their daughter, Donna a graduate of Green Mountain College, is' planning a spring wedding to Don Stickles of Newtown, Conn. Don is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and is with Young and Rubicam in New York City.

Dean Nicholson recently opened offices for the practice of law in his home town of Lexington, Mass. Dean had previously been associated with a law firm in Haverhill. He maintains active interest in many civic organizations and is presently serving as the secretary-counsel for the "Opera Company of Boston." This is a natural interest since his wife is the well-known opera and concert artist appearing professionally as Eunice Alberts.

At the Phoenix of Hartford Insurance Company in Hartford, Conn., Ken Langler has been promoted to the position of office manager. PeteFitzherbert is still traveling about on insurance matters and spent some time in New Orleans and Houston in April. Another traveler was Art Toan who journeyed to England in March, probably to pursue accounting problems for Price, Waterhouse & Company.

Bob Fernald is manager of marketing research for the National Lead Company. In March Bob covered Canada from Montreal to Vancouver by company plane visiting customers en route. Ren and Frannie Ostrom will be making a long trek from Burlingame, Calif., to Hanover in June for reunion. Their four sons are making their mark in the far west. Rick, a graduate of Stanford and San Francisco State, is married and has one son. Rick is completing three years at Claremont College where he has been working on his doctorate in international relations. Pete, a graduate of Southern Cal., is married and the father of two sons. They are living in San Jose and he is a sales representative for Dole canned foods from Arizona to Florida. John is also married and recently _ graduated from the University of the Pacific where he was athlete of the year and held the national small college 100-yard butterfly swim record. Chris is studying at the University of California at Santa Barbara where he swims and studies oceanography. It looks as if the Ostroms have adjusted well to the California life.

On March 30 President Dickey addressed the New York kickoff dinner for the Alumni Fund. '36 had one of the largest delegations present. If you have a son in hign school and live in northern Jersey, you might be interested learning that Ray Rertman has been appointed chairman of the Dartmouth Alumni Council Admissions Committee for That area. Bill Hoffmann will assist in the admissions work of the council for Essex County. In Winnetka, Ill., Beverly Creigh was recently married to Robert A. Bauer and our best wishes are extended to them Gene Tamburi has been close to home in Holyoke at the Yankee Pedlar. His activities have been restricted by a recent illness. By the time this reaches the press, we are sure he will be back in shape and getting on with plans for the food at reunion. Our class photographer, Harry Coronis, plans a showing of official class movies during the reunion. These have been taken at gradua- tion and all reunions. However, Harry would like to supplement the presentation with movies taken by other class members during these reunion interludes. If you have any reels in your files, please contact Harry at 222 Main Street, Nashua, N. H.

We are counting on the THIRTIETH to be the best reunion yet. Make sure you are where the action is on June 13 through June 16.
