The Association's fall season is always dominated by the commencement of enrollment work and this year was no exception. Under the able guidance of Jim Swanson '59 contacts to the area high schools began before the teachers and counsellors were even on the payrolls. The initial results were evaluated by our leader, Eddie Chamberlain '36, who for three days in early October carried on one continuous enrollment campaign. His daylight hours were spent making personal visits with numerous college counsellors and his evenings were devoted to informal discussions with selected prospective applicants. In addition, a long luncheon workshop was spent in educating alumni on the problems of admissions work and the currently utilized solutions. All in all, Eddie's demonstrated devotion, wit, and mastery of his art instilled renewed enthusiasm in our enrollment workers. While the results of the effort are not yet known, a sincere vote of thanks goes to many members of the Association who, like Jim and Tom Fead '54, spent countless hours on this crucial endeavor.

Social events have not been lacking. The good planning of Joe Blake '58 and JimSkinner '53 brought about such memorable events as a Dartmouth Night celebration and, recently, a convivial showing of the film of the Princeton game. Bob Woodberry'54 made swift and successful arrangements for a live telephone hook-up for the Princeton game which was greatly enjoyed by dozens of "our guys" and a few cowed Tigers.

The Glee Club concert on March 20 was, not unexpectedly, a highlight of the spring season. Don McMichael '53 and several anonymous helpers get full credit for an overflow crowd.

John Shaddock '53 and Bruce Ducker '60 are to be commended for providing stimulating and, occasionally, entertaining monthly luncheon programs. These regular opportunities for contacts among the members too often go without their much-deserved recognition.

The individual achievements of at least a few of the members of our Association must be mentioned. The eminence of Neil Roberts '35 was again acknowledged in a recent issue of the "Northwestern Banker." Bill Grant '31 took over sometime ago as state chairman of the Democratic Party, a job not exactly lacking in challenge. Mean while, Ned Grant '30 has been actively raising funds for Kent School and his successful efforts have made a significant contribution to the community.

Bill Berge '45 has recently been appointed by the Denver School Board as chairman of its Advisory Council on Equality of Educational Opportunity. The Council is charged with the enormous responsibility of recommending to the Board solutions to all the difficult problems facing educators in a heterogeneous urban community. The best wishes for success go to Bill from all members of the Association.

Bob Woodberry '54, on the move in the securities world, has been selected as manager of the newly-opened Denver office of Dean Witter & Co. On the other side of the mountain, Bruce LeFavour '57 has opened a new French restaurant in Aspen. Recent newspaper comment is that the "Paragon" is the new "in" place at that very "in" resort town.

New additions to our membership include Lou Zehner '52 who has joined Mullins Broadcasting Co. as assistant to the president. Chuck Kettering '53 has established Denver as the offices of the Kettering Foundation which he heads. Chip Fisher '59 and Hank Ross '62 are also welcome newcomers to the area. Lastly, it should not go unnoticed that occasionally the local boys re- turn after years of wandering. Included in this category is Kit Cowperthwaite '58 who recently returned with a life-size Barbie Doll.
