On March 18, The Dartmouth Club of Western New York hosted the Glee Clubs of the College under the able direction of Paul R. Zeller.
Many club members held social affairs preceding the event at which more than 300 were in attendance.
We would like to give special thanks to President Frederick D. Turner '58 and his wife Margie for heading the Housing Program. Thanks also go to the following for their assistance which made this event so successful: Edward S. Bloombert '68, chairman; George M.Kingsley Jr. '54 and William S. McClung '60, general ticket sales; Herbert F. Darling Jr. '55, patron ticket sales; Peter A. Vogt '48, tickets and program; and Robert Thompson '58, seating arrangements.
It was a truly exciting evening to see and hear for the first time the changes wrought by coeducation upon the College and it was a most entertaining evening.
Not of the least importance was the fact that the club was able to raise approximately $750 toward the club's scholarship fund.
We expect the club will be hosting a summer event which as yet is unscheduled.
We hope we will be seeing more people at our monthly meetings held on the third Thursday of each month at the Plaza Suite.
