Arnold ("Bones") Graves died in Carmel, Calif., on March 24, 1966. He was with us at Dartmouth for two years and then went on to the University of Washington from which he received his law degree. He was for many years a member of the law firm of Graves, Kizer & Graves.

While Perc and Hortense Streeter were at Sea Pines their youngest daughter, Cynthia, was in a serious automobile accident. After a period of unconsciousness, she has finally come around a bit, but is still far from recovery. Perc says. it is a matter of months as the injury was a fracture and concussion. Our deepest sympathy goes to Cynthia and, of course, to Perc and Hortense!

Duke Howe phoned the other day to tell me that Phil Evans was in Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, Mass. Duke didn't know just why Phil was there, but whatever the reason, Phil was not looking forward to his stay there. I have sent him a "get well" card.

From Gil Swett comes word that RayWain is president of Happiness House, one of the most important and most appealing charity projects in the Sarasota-Bradenton area, giving aid and therapeutic training to crippled children. Ray is currently raising a $30,000 budget campaign for 1966.

Writing on April 5 Gordon Tracy said, "I retired in Dec. 1961, and in 1964 moved from New Haven, Conn., where I lived for nearly forty years, to my home town of Windsor, Vt. Moved into the house where I was brought up, and since then have been painting, papering and what have you, just enougn to Keep me out or miscmet."

From what looks like Tequesta, Fla., ChanSteiger wrote that he and Hazel have been spending the winter there, hut expect to get home about May 1. He said that they will think seriously about the Woodstock party, but hope to join us at our 50th.

A card received this morning (5-2) from George and Helen Currier says, "Helen and I have been roaming over Mexico for about a month. Mexico City is the most beautiful city we have ever seen. Wide parkways, tree lined, parks, lovely residences. We are going to San Miquelde Allende for a week."

Come June 14 the Brookses take off from Albany for a trip to the West coast. After visiting our son, Bill '51, and his family in Chicago, we go on to Valley, Wyo., to visit my sister and her husband. Leaving there we go to Vancouver and then on down the coast to Los Angeles, taking in the sights all along the way. We will be gone about five weeks.

If you have not already sent in your contribution to the Alumni Fund, you had better do so right away. Time is getting short and if we are going to meet our quota, as we certainly are, everyone must do his level best. Jack Saladine is counting on YOU!

And don't forget the fall party at the Woodstock Inn, Woodstock, Vt. - Thursday, September 22 to Sunday, September 25. If you were at the party last year, you know what fun it was and you won't want to miss it this year! If you were not present last year, you have a treat in store if you join us!
