Orange County

For the past year alumni in the Orange County area have been in the process of organizing a Dartmouth Club which will be the 137th member of the alumni club family. Two meetings have already been held and on March 18 officers were elected as follows: President, Walt Douglas '31; vice president of South Orange County and program chairman, Bob Cone '53; vice president of North Orange County, Bob Poet '46. Bob Blocksom '31 will serve as secretary and treasurer with Phil Laskey '41 assistant secretary and Jim Murar '62 assistant treasurer. John Greenwood '51 will have charge of publicity. These men along with CharlieBond '53 and Bill Hawkins '50 will become the executive committee.

Orton Hicks '21, vice president of the College, will be present on July 15 for a dinner meeting at the Irvine Coast Country Club. At that time the charter from the College will be presented. We hope for a large attendance at our first official meeting of the Orange County Club.
