Orange County

The Dartmouth Club of Orange County held its first function of this year, cocktails and dinner, on February 17 at the Irvine Coast Country Club, Newport Beach. Walt Douglas '31, our first president, passed the gavel to newly elected two-year president Bob Poet '46, who will be assisted by vice presidents Bob Core '53 and Bob Ehringer '43. Bob Blocksom '31 remains as secretarytreasurer, and will again be backed by Jim Murar '62 as assistant treasurer. Other members of the executive committee are Clem Burnap '30, Coleman Colla '58, Walt Douglas '31, Walt Kadlec '36, Phil Laskey '41, and John Walker '60. There are plans brewing for a family picnic in May and a splash party in August (sorry we can't use the "Queen Mary").
