The Dartmouth Club of Sarasota had its second dinner meeting, Thursday, January 19, at the Top of the Terrace, Sarasota Motor Hotel.
There were 44 members and guests in attendance. Jim Bonnyman '38, President, presided. Among those present, and defending their classes against all comers were Allan Brown '07, Bob Kenyon '07, Sumner Emerson and Gil Swett '17, Holt McAloney and Ed Drier '26, not to mention Clark Collins and Fred Daley '19. Henry Lowell '14 and his wife came down to join us from Sun City, Florida.
After a delightful dinner and word from Holt McAloney that two outstanding young men from Sarasota High School had achieved early acceptance at Dartmouth for this coming fall, we were treated to 44 minutes of wonderful Dartmouth football. Very few of us had seen the Dartmouth team in action this fall and these pictures were a very real treat.
Before adjourning, it was announced that the annual Anna Maria Dartmouth lunch-eon would be held, Tuesday, February 14. It was also pointed out that Dartmouth men get together at the Plaza restaurant for luncheon every second and fourth Tuesday (and the fifth Tuesday if there is one). Winter visitors to Sarasota, please note.
