Joe Losey was the subject of an interesting interview in a recent issue of The Npw York Times. Joe has lived in England for the past fifteen years. His newest creation is the British entry in the Cannes Film Festival. It opens in New York in April, and is entitled "Accident." Basically, it talks about human failures and betrayal. Joe says that he would like very much to make a film in the United States if it's important enough to warrant the dislocation. Joe is certainly a YIP in London, where a Joseph Losey Season has been held twice in three years at the National Film Theater.
John Conion writes: "Everything is about the same here at the N. H. State Hospital - no special news to talk about, but hope you do better with other classmates." ... Karl Michael takes the time to say: "Responding to your Vox Clamantis, you should know what I have been doing - coaching swimming - and better than ever this year. Our best dual meet season since 1950. Won 10, lost 2. The new swimming pool has been largely instrumental in keeping youngsters interested in Dartmouth, and matriculating, instead of going to other colleges as they once did. It's old news now, but Ken Moran and wife Ginny spent last Princeton weekend with us in the fall. Had a great time with them after a long time no see."
Hope you caught the article in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE about the Alumni Award given to Squeek Redding. It was presented to him in Boston by J. Michael McGean '49, secretary of the Alumni Council.... The Dartmouth Summer Term will have Mase Ingram and the aforementioned Karl Michael in key positions in Hanover. Be sure to say hello to them when you get there.

I was, of course, very pleased at this honor, particularly as we sold our business to Triangle on October 29, 1965, and the majority of the Plastic Wire and Cable board are now Triangle people. Johns Hopkins University has announced an anonymous gift of $500,000 to establish the Andrew Mellon professorship in the humanities. Professor Maurice Mandelbanm of the philosophy department, has been named to the chair. Maurie is one of the nation's leading philosophers. He came to Hopkins in 1957 as a professor and chairman of the Department of Philosophy. He had taught previously at Dartmouth and Swarthmore.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Monahau have announced the engagement of their daughter, Linda Vail, to Henry J. Dresch.
Bart Stoodley, chairman of the department of sociology and anthropology at Wellesley, recently gave a talk to Westbrook Junior College students, his subject being "Sex as Motivation." Bart, after graduation from Dartmouth, received his LL.B. from Harvard Law School and his M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology at Harvard Graduate School. He was a Fulbright professor at the University of the Philippines, 1944-55, and visiting professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Bart also practiced Law in Boston before joining the faculty at Wellesley.
Bernie Biirnham writes: "Best news I have for you is that son Richard won an early acceptance and will be in the class of 1971." ... King Badger reports that he has been promoted from Associate Professor of English to Professor at B.U. "Also, have had my essay on Robert Browning's religion reprinted in Philip Drew's 'Robert Browning: A Collection of Critical Essays,' London, Methuen, 1966. Am in my fourth year as president of the Boston Robert Browning Society." ... Fred Armstrong Jr. will run for new term on the Cape Elizabeth (Me.) Board of Selectmen. Fred is claims manager of the Great American Insurance Company, and is chairman of selectmen.
