One of the newest publications in the burgeoning field of computer literature is a newsletter, Calculi, published at the College and edited by Stephen V. F. Waite, an instructor in the Department of Classics.

The publication, mailed bimonthly without charge to scholars (in the U.S. and abroad) of the literature and culture of ancient Greece and Rome, is named for the Latin word for pebbles, which the ancients used as an aid in their computations. Computers have opened up whole new areas and approaches to studies in Greek and Roman literature, according to editor Waite.

Another publication, Kiewit Comments, has also been initiated to inform College faculty and staff about up-to-date news on the new computation center and the facilities available.
