The Pioneer Valley Dartmouth Club which includes alumni from Holyoke, Amherst, Northampton, Greenfield, and Deerfield gathered for a dinner meeting at the Gables in South Deerfield on April 24. Two members of the Dartmouth faculty were present to tell about the college of today. Associate Professor Matthew E. Wiencke, chairman of the Classics Department, spoke on "The Changing Curriculum" and Thomas E. Byrne '55, business manager of the Kiewit Computation Center, described "The Dartmouth Time Sharing System." Also a guest speaker was Senior Fellow William W. Hay Jr. '67 whose subject was "Four Years of Change, The Undergraduate Viewpoint."
Other guests of the Association on this occasion were members of the faculty of Mt. Holyoke College and several high schools in the area.
Robert Czelusniak '59 of Northampton was elected president succeeding Andrew P.Schmidt '36 of Holyoke. Hallam Clark '22 of South Hadley was reelected secretary and James W. O'Brien '57, Northampton, will become treasurer.
