The exhibition of student art this spring was so extensive that it was put into the Hopkins Center's big Jaffe-Friede Gallery (even then all the works picked as worthy of exhibit by the faculty judges couldn't be shown) and was so good that record numbers of visitors went to see it.
A count of 3,478 visitors was clocked for the first eleven days of the annual Student Art Exhibition, three times the average for other showings for the equivalent number of days. Because of the popularity of this show, it was extended for an additional week.
The six student winners of the Adalbert Ames Awards for excellence in art courses, each of whom will receive an original work of art which they may choose from the College's Ames collections, are Robert L. Arnold '67 of Salt Lake City, Utah; Jonathan Grumette '65 of Brooklyn, N. Y.; Rixford O. Jennings '67 of East Aurora, N. Y.; Bruce. A. Rich '67 of Washington, D. C.; Jeffrey D. L. Wortman '67 of Upper Montclair, N. J., and Robert F. Nickson '64 of South Nyack, N. Y..
