The Dartmouth rifle team closed out its season with a 9-2 record, making this the most successful year in its history.
In non-league competition the team went undefeated, winning over Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Colorado, M.I.T., and U. Mass. Although they dropped two matches to Vermont and Maine in the New England League, the Indians were victorious over Norwich, Bowdoin, and Nasson. Their 3-2 record in the league was good enough for second place in the final standings.
Next year promises further success. With four of this year's top marksmen returning and several standout freshmen in the wings, the team should be even stronger. Coach Gunnery Sergeant McIntyre, who is already planning an active fall schedule, acknowledges that a "league championship" is a distinct possibility.
Captain for next year is the team's top man, Pete Tracy '68. The manager will be Ed Kozelka '69.
