Director of Development Addison L. Winship '42 (1)

Director of Development Addison L. Winship '42 (1) accepts the Alumni Fund Committee Trophy on behalf of Warren G. Kreter, former Head Class Agent of the Class of 1942, from William M. Alley '21, Fund Committee member. The award, new this year, is to be made annually to a class demonstrating general excellence in the Fund. The following citation accompanied the award:

For the first time this year a new trophy is being awarded to a class whose contribution to the Alumni Fund and Dartmouth is of such outstanding excellence that it deserves special recognition.

Clearly, no Head Agent and Class deserve this first award more than Warren Kreter and his great Class of 1942. During their minority as alumni—the first 25 years—1942 men have contributed $436,000 to the Alumni Fund and three-fourths of that amount has been given during the eight-year term of Head Agent Warren Kreter.

Although Krete's accomplishments have been recognized with six Green Derby victories and three previous trophy awards, it is fitting that the Fund Committee emphasize the magnitude of this remarkable achievement by presenting its own new trophy for general excellence among all Dartmouth Classes to Warren G. Kreter and the Class of 1942.
