Bicentennial Medal

Awaiting President Johnson's signature last month was a bill, passed by both the Senate and the House, authorizing the striking of medals commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of Dartmouth College. The medals will be struck by the U. S. Mint with Dartmouth bearing the cost.

The bill authorizing the Dartmouth Bicentennial Medal was introduced by Senator Thomas J. McIntyre '37 of New Hampshire. The Senate passed it earlier in the year and the House completed passage September 16.
