There is an abundance of youth in the starting lineup of Whitey Burnham's soccer squad this fall and the young blood is having a positive effect. The Indians entered the Harvard weekend with three wins, two losses and a tie and have shown a steady improvement.

The squad's youthfulness is typified by Pete Linton, a junior from Philadelphia who is captain of the team. As Pete pointed out, the Green's success is due in large part to a conscious effort on the part of the seniors and juniors to incorporate the many sophomores into the . picture.

Five sophomores, led by center halfback Charley Silcox, forward Randy Quayle and goalie John Orange, have been strong performers. The Green's early momentum was blunted by a 6-3 loss to Brown, the Ivy League champions for the past four seasons, although Dartmouth showed its potential by holding a 2-1 lead at the half.

Senior Dick Moon and juniors Dave Irwin and Greg Church have also aided the attack. Irwin and Quayle shared the scoring lead after six games with five points apiece.

PENIN GAME PARTY Immediately after the Dartmouth-Penn game on Saturday, November 23, a cocktail party for alumni, families and friends will be held in the "Upper Egyptian" Room of the University of Pennsylvania Museum, directly across South Street from Franklin Field. Beer, cocktails, snacks and music will be available, and proceeds will benefit the Dartmouth Club of Philadelphia Scholarship Fund. The printed announcement from the Club says: "Meet the gang after the game! Come one, come all - everyone invited."
