The fall season was kicked off in October with a visit by Eddie Chamberlain '36 and Ralph Manuel '58 at a luncheon meeting at the Green Turtle Restaurant. This was the first meeting held since Al Seitner '34 took over as president. The turn-out of school counselors, principals, and the staff of Duval County's superintendent of schools was excellent. An evening meeting held by Eddie and Ralph with prospective students was also rewarding. We feel that the exposure of this visit will be most productive in our enrollment program under the direction ofLou Kimball '25.
More recently we hosted the Dartmouth basketball team and Coach Dave Gavitt '59. Typical Florida sunshine and a luncheon at Jacksonville University on the St. Johns River was enjoyed by the team, alumni, students home on vacation, and prospects for the college.
In addition to luncheon meetings this past fall and early winter we were pleased to notify our alumni of the first television showing out of Hanover of the special on Hopkins Center narrated by Robert Ryan'32.
Preceding our final year-end meeting and rounding out our full season of activities will be the much anticipated visit by the Dartmouth Glee Club this March. Several years have passed since a tour has included Jacksonville and the alumni are eagerly looking forward to this always stellar event.
