Good letter from Jim Walker informs us that they have returned from Florida and their present address is 3 Price Road, Peabody, Mass., the town now famous for having been the birthplace of Willie MacKeen. Mrs. Walker's illness was the primary reason for coming back to Massachusetts, as they were unable to live alone any longer and here in the north they are now staying with one of their daughters. They have decided to give up their home in DeLand and have secured an apartment in Swampscott, where they lived for years and have many good friends. They will move to Swampscott about the first of March and later will send their full address. Concerning their health Jim writes, "I can hardly get around as my legs have given out. Fanny suffers from the same difficulty." Then, refraining from the evident pun, he says "We both have walkers for canes were not sufficient." Also he says his right arm is so weak and shaky that he can hardly write, because of hardening of the arteries. His letter shows no signs of his affliction, however, so possibly someone wrote it for him. Also it is clear that his mentality has suffered in no degree whatever and he clearly is as alert and keen as he was in former years. You may recall that Jim is one of the older men in the class. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, 28 July 1879, and for many years was the Director of Social Studies in one of the large high schools in Lynn. He became famous throughout this area as one of the finest teachers of History and his classes were visited as models by teachers from many other cities and towns.

A report from Ida Charron indicates that she is in the convalescent period following a cataract operation. The convalescence, as we are aware, requires a long period of patience for the eyes are slow to adapt themselves to the different kind of lens which must be used following the removal of cataracts. We extend our sympathy and our hope for a speedy and complete recovery.

We have just learned of the death of our classmate, Lester H. Gibson on February 6, at Palo Alto, Calif., after a brief illness.
