A Green-Tinged Merger
MAY 1968

The recent merger of two major companies has produced a board roster with enough Dartmouth names to make an item as fitting for the ALUMNI MAGAZINE as for the nation's business and financial publications.

The affiliation of the New York based Avco Corporation and the Paul Revere Corporation of Worcester, Mass., brought together five of the College's most loyal sons and two of its illustrious friends.

Represented on the Avco board of directors are its chairman, Kendrick R. Wilson '36, active Third Century Fund campaigner, and four members of the Harrington family of Worcester - Frank L. Harrington '24, Life Trustee of the College; Robert D. Harrington '26, Alumni Council member; Francis A. Harrington '33; and Frank L. Harrington Jr. '50, former president of the Class Chairmen and Presidents' Association. The Dartmouth friends are Earl H. Blaik, who needs no further identification, and Edward R. Hodgkins, whose father was a onetime member of the Dartmouth faculty.
