On Saturday evening, March 23, 113 Dartmouth men, wives, and guests (including some from Columbus, Dayton, and Lexington), after digging out from Friday's "Snow Emergency," met at the Queen City Club for our annual dinner. PresidentDickey, after spending most of his day at Logan Field while the airlines debated whether they could or couldn't, finally made it and was our guest speaker. Ralph Lazarus 35, chairman of the 1968 Alumni Fund Committee, also spoke to us about the coming drive and its importance to the college.

While Lew Johnsone '41 waited at the aiport for President Dickey and John Parke 56, who did a great job in charge of the evening's festivities, anxiously watched the elevator doors, the rest of us were grateful guests of a generous alumnus at a pre-dinner cocktail party.

At the dinner, Red Wilson '42 announced an Alumni college weekend to be held September 13-15 at Procter Farm, New London, Uhio As Dean Wilson and his committee, frank Simpson '41 and Bill Portman '45 describe it, this will be a "mini-capsule" of the two-week Alumni College, an opportunity for alumni and their wives to think through once again some of the things that are happening to them and their world. ProfessorHarold Bond '42 and Professor Reece Prosser are expected to be the faculty leaders. You will be seeing more on this outstanding event in a coming mailing.

Also, a brief election was held. Bill Petty'54 was elected president, John Parke '56, vice president; Bob Harthemeier '49, treasurer; and Barry Ramsdell '64, secretary. Dick Hoar '49 is our national enrollment committeeman. Key committee chairmen include Dave Pritchard '62, Enrollment, DickWendall '50, Interview, and Ed Blatt '46, Publicity.

A special word of thanks should be given to Bob Mauk '50, our retiring vice president. Bob was responsible for the excellent series of luncheons this year. His most recent feat was to obtain Councilman William Keating for the May luncheon.
